I was recently invited to the Los Angeles premieres for two great short films, MASSACRE and The West Files. The event took place at Busby’s East and it turned out to be an amazing night, the films were great and I had the opportunity to talk with a few people behind these productions.

(AUDIO) Nowhere California Presents Our Coverage Of The West Files And MASSACRE LA Premiere

In genre that can be easily crowded with mindless blood spilling, MASSACRE is a twisted and refreshing sight on the screen. Pandie wrote and Erik Boccio constructed a whirlwind of a short film. This short hits every point a full length independent feature can only wish to hit.

The West Files, as a short film, was a funny and inventive watch. The West Files, as a television series, needs to happen. In a short period of time, the story is built and each character is developed enough to make you want more.

We will keep you posted on any new development that occur with these projects and, hopefully, we will have another opportunity to talk with the talents behind these productions.

Nowhere California’s Adventures In The World Of Queen Gorya..

(Joshua Gilmore-Staff Writer)
It began in 2013 and a chance meeting at the Los Angeles Days of the Dead Convention. The Nowhere California Team was in attendance, covering their first convention and the team from Queen Gorya was spreading the word on their upcoming series. The two teams crossed paths and exchanged information, which could have easily ended there and, luckily, it did not.

As the months progressed, Nowhere California was lucky enough to have many great conversations with different cast members of the Queen Gorya series..

Nowhere California’s 2nd Conversation With Steve J Palmer

Then, after a successful kickstarter campaign, Nowhere California had the chance to attend and cover the pilot premiere. The event was great and the finished pilot was amazing…

The pilot is still available to view at www.queengorya.com. It is some great work and everyone involved should be proud of this work. Queen Gorya is something that should be viewed and deserve more word of mouth.

After you watch the pilot episode, give a listen to Josh and Phil discussion in this special edition of “WHY NOT?”

WHY NOT TV EDITION: Why Not Queen Gorya?

We’ve mentioned this to everyone at Queen Gorya multiple times and we’re going to do it again here. We want to thank the entire Queen Gorya crew for lettings us into your world and allowing us to watch the evolution of this journey.

Foundation Of The FX Network To Go On Hiatus..

(Joshua Gilmore STAFF WRITER)

If absence makes the heart grow fonder, get ready to reach a new level of fondness for Louis CK and his hit TV series “Louie”. FX has announced that the series will be on a temporary hiatus, so Louis CK can focus on upcoming project and there is no set time frame of the series return.

The loyal “Louie” viewers will remember that this series took two years off, between seasons 3 and 4, but this hiatus has no set end established. FX Executives are hopeful for a quick return, but wishes to give Louis as much time as he needs for his upcoming slate of projects.

In one of his upcoming projects, Louis CK will be returning to the world of movies and direct the upcoming “I’m A Cop”. This film will mark Louis first directorial work since 2001’s “Pootie Tang”

The small screen will not miss Louis CK for too long, as he will have his hands in 2 upcoming FX series. First, in a sort of “Louie” spin off, he will be working on “Better Things” with Pamela Adlon. Also, Louis will be working with Zach Galifianakis on the series “Baskets”
