Karate Kid Legends Trailer

Worlds unite in Karate Kid Legends

If you would’ve told me decades ago, that the Karate Kid franchise would become one most complex sagas in film and yet, somehow remaining blissfully simplistic, I would’ve called you crazy. Jump ahead to a few days ago when the trailer for Karate Kid Legends drops and I see Ralph Macchio face-to-face with Jackie Chan talking about Mr. Miyagi and I lost my mind. Now, I have always been upfront with being a sponge for useless pop culture knowledge. That being said, my nerd superpower was triggered when I went back to the first film when Mr. Miyagi is talking to Daniel about the roots of karate. He talks about one of his ancestors, drinking strong sake and falling asleep in his fishing boat and waking up off the coast of China. Thus, kung fu influenced this Miyagi ancestor, and Miyagi-do karate was born. In this trailer, Jackie Chan’s Mr. Han seeks out Daniel LaRusso to help train new student. They reference both films and tie them together with the branches of the bonsai tree. Needless to say, I am super excited to see this next chapter, and I proudly share with you the trailer for Karate Kid Legends. In theaters May 30, 2025

It’s here! After months of teaser posters and tidbits, Saban Brands and Lionsgate Films have delivered the first teaser trailer for 2017’s Power Rangers film. I have been skeptical of the film simply because it treads in the footsteps of the original Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers from the 90’s and I hold that near and dear to my heart. I am proud to say that I am nothing if not excited and intrigued by this new take. A departure from the sugary sweet good guys that comprised the original team, these teens all seem to be in trouble of some type or are all branded as misfits and outcasts. Often times the glue that binds, they are drawn together and make a discovery of five different colored discs that lead them through dramatic physical changes. The trailer gives us our first look at Elizabeth Banks’ version of legendary baddie Rita Repulsa who kicks up the grit factor by claiming “I have killed Rangers before.”

Power Rangers stars the aforementioned Banks as well as Bryan Cranston as Zordon and Bill Hader as the voice of the bumbling Alpha 5. The only question left is…when will my boy Jason David Frank show up as the Green Ranger!? Make your way to theaters on March 24th, 2017 to watch these new Rangers “Discover the Power.”
