It’s Time To Return To The Pages Of Bat Country..

(Joshua Gilmore-Staff Writer)

Raoul Duke and Dr. Gonzo have taken the Las Vegas journeys from the pages to the silver screen and their return to print is set, with the help of cartoonist Troy Little. Top Shelf Productions, an imprint of IDW Publishing, has announced this adaptation of “Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas” will begin their entrance into the world of graphic novels.

IDW Publishing has made a name for itself in the world of comics since their start in 1999, they have developed huge franchises and they have taken the proper risks to create a brand that can challenge the iconic legends. Now, with their entrance into the graphic novels battle ground, they are releasing a beloved classic into a world that should fit the works of Hunter S. Thompson like a glove.

“I’m so pleased that one of the first collaborative projects to come out of the Top Shelf/ IDW relationship will be Troy Little’s inspired take on a true classic of American literature,” said Top Shelf Editor-In-Chief Chris Staros in a press release. “One of the most unforgettable writers turned loose in one of my favorite cities! We can’t wait to show you what Troy’s done with it.”
If you have not read this classical work of Hunter S. Thompson, buy the ticket and take the ride. The original novel and 1998 Terry Gilliam film are readily available online. The Troy Little’s graphic novel adaptation is set to be released this month. For more information on the release go to  Top Shelf Productions Official Site

Chris Rock To Bring The Pain To Oscar Night..

(Joshua Gilmore-Staff Writer)

Over the past few years, the most thankless job in Hollywood has been hosting the Academy Awards. There have been many that have tried and left before they could be asked if they would like to return, from Neil Patrick Harris to the much underrated Seth MacFarlane, this is a dream job that brings on a nightmare of a hangover. So the question has been asked and the host of the 88th Academy Awards has been revealed, Chris Rock will be taking the stage.

This will be a return visit for Rock, as he hosted this event back in 2005, and will definitely give the proper shock to the normal Academy Awards viewer and critics system. As Rock has grown into the creatively mind behind the camera and continues to be the top level performer in front of the camera, Rock still has the heart of a stand-up comic and that has been missing from the OSCAR stage.

The 88th Academy Award Nomination will be announced on January 14th 2016
The 88th Academy Awards will air February 28th 2016

The Podcast Before The Site..

(Joshua Gilmore-Staff Writer)

In recent weeks, we have evolved into something more and we want to make sure everyone will continue this journey with us.

One of our biggest changes was our switching of host sites. Unfortunately, we outgrew our previous host site and made the move over to soundcloud…

NOWHERE CALIFORNIA ON SOUND CLOUD

Now, with that move, we had to launch a new iTunes feed and that is the reason behind this post. The entire Nowhere California Team would like to make sure that our listeners can make to move without issue. So here is a graphic to help things along…
