Strange Things Are Afoot…

The year was 1989…I was 13 and I was driving my mom nuts by responding to simple good news by shouting “Excellent!” and throwing air guitar or “Bogus!” over bad news. I watched Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure on a loop everyday for the better part of a year.

Into the phone booth we go to 1991. Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey hits and I lost my marbles and so did my girlfriend who had to deal with me! I burned out my Sony Discman playing KISS’ God Gave Rock and Roll To You and threw out my shoulder with more air guitar!

Back into the booth we go to a few days ago when Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves sent a short clip from the Hollywood Bowl and OFFICIALLY confirmed Bill and Ted 3: Face the Music will be filming this summer! I just threw out my shoulder again but it was well worth it!! This most non-heinous news was supported by the reveal that William Sadler would be reprising his scene stealing role of Death for the third installment. OW! My shoulder can’t take much more of this! This film is a direct result of how fan support can influence a movie to be green lit with the help of the very enthusiastic original writers Chris Mattheson and Ed Solomon. Seriously, I’m gonna go call my doctor about my shoulder while you go enjoy the announcement video below. Be excellent to each other and…PARTY ON DUDES! Dammit I did it again! Bill and Ted 3: Face the Music is slated for a 2020 release so stay tuned right here for any breaking news!

NowhereCalifornia.com Reaches Its First Year..

(Joshua Gilmore- Staff Writer)

It started one year ago today, this site was launched and took the concept of Nowhere California to a whole new level.

Nowhere California started in 2011 and it was just another conversation between two friends, but these conversation started taking place in front of a microphone and unleashed on the internet. It was as simple as that, but as Nowhere California evolved, the team grew and new accomplishments were reach.

The episodes started to grow and the team ventured out of the Nowhere city limits, as they dove into the world of conventions and conducting interviews. It was with each accomplishment, the Nowhere California family stuck to their ideals of what they wanted to produce and not to become just another podcast.

It was that mindset that grew into this website and, as we mark our first year on the net, we want to simply say THANK YOU.

Thank you for following the journey of Nowhere California.

Thank you for listening to the original podcast and all of the other podcast that have sprung from this little idea.

Thank you for checking out this site

And thank you for continuing this adventure with us.

The Days of the Dead coverage take an animated turn and the guys from Nowhere talk with Angus Oblong.

There might be a rare few that might be clueless on who this man is or it might be the other way around, so here is a quick refresher to jog your memory.

Angus Oblong is a writer and illustrator that entered the published landscape with the book “Creepy Susie and 13 Other Tragic Tales For Troubled Children” This well-written and illustrated book gave the world a look at Angus’ talents. Also, “Creepy Susie..” lead to the animated series known as “The Oblongs”

This animated series transferred characters from the original book to the small screen and brought the world of Angus Oblong to a larger audience, two members of this audience were the guys from Nowhere.

At the 2016 Days of the Dead convention, Phil and Josh took the opportunity to talk with the mind behind these creations..

Chris Rock To Bring The Pain To Oscar Night..

(Joshua Gilmore-Staff Writer)

Over the past few years, the most thankless job in Hollywood has been hosting the Academy Awards. There have been many that have tried and left before they could be asked if they would like to return, from Neil Patrick Harris to the much underrated Seth MacFarlane, this is a dream job that brings on a nightmare of a hangover. So the question has been asked and the host of the 88th Academy Awards has been revealed, Chris Rock will be taking the stage.

This will be a return visit for Rock, as he hosted this event back in 2005, and will definitely give the proper shock to the normal Academy Awards viewer and critics system. As Rock has grown into the creatively mind behind the camera and continues to be the top level performer in front of the camera, Rock still has the heart of a stand-up comic and that has been missing from the OSCAR stage.

The 88th Academy Award Nomination will be announced on January 14th 2016
The 88th Academy Awards will air February 28th 2016
