“Good news everyone,” those are the immortal words of Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth and those words speak volumes today. The headline is not a glitch, Nowhere California has a sponsor.

audiblelogo2Audible.com is the internet’s premier provider of audio books and they are going to place their name along with long standing production. This is an exciting moment for Nowhere California and we hope our listeners will share in our excitement, but more importantly, we hope our listeners will dive deep into the Audible.com catalogue and show them that sponsoring our podcast was a great decision.

The entire Nowhere team understands that money can be tight and subscribing to a new monthly service can be a hard choice to make, so Audible.com has set up this special link to give you 30 free days to enjoy their site, with NO COMMITMENT, and a free audio book to keep in your personal library. The guys from Nowhere are continuing their coverage from the 2016 Stan Lee Los Angeles Comic Con and they are crossing paths with another friend from conventions past who happens to have their roots in the Garden State.

In this installment of our convention’s coverage, we talk with the multitalented Marilyn Ghigliotti and this isn’t here first visit to Nowhere, as the Nowhere California Team has crossed paths with her two other times in this past year.

The first meeting took place at the 2015 Stan Lee’s Comikaze (who would have thought that would be the last year for that moniker)

The second meeting was at the world premiere for the amazing science fiction movie “Rouge Warrior:Robot Fighter” (Seriously, seek this movie out and enjoy it.)

A Goal Reached With Time To Spare..

October 20th will mark the end of our Booster.com shirt campaign and we have reached our printing goal. When we launched this project, we were tasked to sell 14 and luckily we hit that number with time to spare. Now, with that said, there is still time and you still have a chance to order a Nowhere California shirt.

If you go to www.booster.com/nowhereca, you can order a shirt for $19.99 (that is $15.00 for the shirt and $4.99 for shipping) This has been a fun project and the entire Nowhere California team wants to thank everyone that has helped us.

JOIN THE FIGHT! Help the HACK PACK!

(Nicholas Dye/ Staff Writer)

The guys here at Nowhere California have launched a new campaign that, at the very least, will get us some awesome shirts made, and at best, we might just earn some money that we can put towards our convention expenses and equipment costs.

We have designed an exclusive “HACK PACK” t-shirt and the short goal is to sell 14 shirts which will get them to print. If we can reach a goal of 50 shirts, then we will actually make some money to put towards expanding our horizons at Nowhere California.

The campaign can be found at http://www.booster.com/nowhereca and the shirt runs a total of $19.99 with shipping included. They are 100% cotton high quality t-shirts that you can show off at conventions or comic shops. BUT WAIT!! THERE’S MORE!! The first 14 people who purchase shirts will receive ALL of our interviews and content from the upcoming Stan Lee’s Comikaze before the general public does.

We here at Nowhere California don’t usually like to pander but…OKAY OKAY we have never been above pandering to get listeners and now we hope that same shameless groveling will get you to join the HACK PACK and sport our mildly suggestive t-shirt!! Excelsior!!!!

A few weeks ago, Nowhere California was introduced to the independent horror/comedy “CONJOINED” and I was quickly intrigued by this bare bones, but highly creative movie. I wrote a review for this movie and posted my thoughts to this website.

Recently, I was able to talk to one of the creative minds behind this movie and talk to Joe Grisaffi. Joe was the director of “CONJOINED” and this interview dives into the evolution of a crazy story idea. Also, our conversation takes a look at Joe’s career and his adventures in the 8-bit video game world.

NowhereCalifornia.com Reaches Its First Year..

365_zps32stbaw6

(Joshua Gilmore- Staff Writer)

It started one year ago today, this site was launched and took the concept of Nowhere California to a whole new level.

Nowhere California started in 2011 and it was just another conversation between two friends, but these conversation started taking place in front of a microphone and unleashed on the internet. It was as simple as that, but as Nowhere California evolved, the team grew and new accomplishments were reach.

The episodes started to grow and the team ventured out of the Nowhere city limits, as they dove into the world of conventions and conducting interviews. It was with each accomplishment, the Nowhere California family stuck to their ideals of what they wanted to produce and not to become just another podcast.

It was that mindset that grew into this website and, as we mark our first year on the net, we want to simply say THANK YOU.

Thank you for following the journey of Nowhere California.

Thank you for listening to the original podcast and all of the other podcast that have sprung from this little idea.

Thank you for checking out this site

And thank you for continuing this adventure with us.
