LOTR: The Rings of Power Trailer Arrives.

(Nicholas Dye – Staff Writer/Podcaster)

Prime Video is giving the world of man the gift of The Rings of Power. Fear not, I don’t think we will all become Ring-Wraiths but who know!? Premiering September 2, Rings takes us to a Middle Earth we have never seen before. The story tracks the great elves Galadriel and Elrond and the rise of the great evil that will eventually become Sauron. Although not directed by Peter Jackson, Prime has cultivated the talents of multiple directors to bring the world of Middle Earth in stunning vivid detail. Faithful to the Jackson franchise, Rings is filmed in the breathtaking landscapes in New Zealand and, as of this post, will become the most expensive episodic show ever filmed. For fans of the Hobbits, fear not, the final scene in the trailer appears to show the Hobbits making their way to The Shire for the first time. Since I’ve rambled for an Elf age, I’ll just leave you with the trailer for Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power on Amazon Prime Video, September 2nd.

Uncharted First Look

(Tom Holland as Nathan Drake)

(Nicholas Dye Staff Writer/Podcaster)

Sony pictures and PlayStation just released the first trailer for the upcoming Uncharted film starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg. The film is a prequel to the events of the wildly popular uncharted video game series by PlayStation and well… Technically Sony, but I digress. The lead character, Nathan Drake, will be played by Tom Holland which was a no-brainer due to his parkour background and, his rugged yet charming demeanor. The ring of Sir Francis Drake on a nylon cord around his neck? Check. His trademark Henley and khaki cargo pants (which I feel have gone widely unused in adventure/treasure films)? Check. The shoulder holster and pistol? Check. The real question will be whether or not Mark Wahlberg can pull off Victor “Sully“ Sullivan’s Tom Selleck-esque mustache…let’s just take a look…

(Mark Wahlberg being heavily judged by Sully for that ‘stache)

It may need a little work and a lot less Just For Men but I’m sure Wahlberg will rock the thing by the end of the film. The trailer gives me good vibrations (please don’t beat my ass Mr. Wahlberg) so without further ado, enjoy the first look at Uncharted, due to hit theaters February 18th, 2022.

John Wick 2…John Kills Everyone

maxresdefault(Nicholas Dye/Staff Writer)

“The only way out is back in.” That is the tagline for the follow-up to 2014’s John Wick. Subtly titled, John Wick: Chapter 2, John has to venture to Europe (yes the car comes too!) in what can assume is his attempt to get back out of the hitman business. Of course, the bodies will pile up quite high before that happens and we get an appearance from Morpheus as he tries to mentor Neo…wait…wrong film. Lawrence Fishburne does appear and will be joined by newcomers Common and Ruby Rose with Ian McShane and John Leguizamo returning.

From our last few posts, it would appear that 2017 is going to be off with a shot and the earliest shot we have so far is John Wick: Chapter 2 which will hit theaters February 10th. Although not rated yet, I’m going to go out on a limb and guess it will be a hard ‘R’ for violence.

(Joshua Gilmore- Staff Writer)

It started one year ago today, this site was launched and took the concept of Nowhere California to a whole new level.

Nowhere California started in 2011 and it was just another conversation between two friends, but these conversation started taking place in front of a microphone and unleashed on the internet. It was as simple as that, but as Nowhere California evolved, the team grew and new accomplishments were reach.

The episodes started to grow and the team ventured out of the Nowhere city limits, as they dove into the world of conventions and conducting interviews. It was with each accomplishment, the Nowhere California family stuck to their ideals of what they wanted to produce and not to become just another podcast.

It was that mindset that grew into this website and, as we mark our first year on the net, we want to simply say THANK YOU.

Thank you for following the journey of Nowhere California.

Thank you for listening to the original podcast and all of the other podcast that have sprung from this little idea.

Thank you for checking out this site

And thank you for continuing this adventure with us.
