Uncharted First Look

(Tom Holland as Nathan Drake)

(Nicholas Dye Staff Writer/Podcaster)

Sony pictures and PlayStation just released the first trailer for the upcoming Uncharted film starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg. The film is a prequel to the events of the wildly popular uncharted video game series by PlayStation and well… Technically Sony, but I digress. The lead character, Nathan Drake, will be played by Tom Holland which was a no-brainer due to his parkour background and, his rugged yet charming demeanor. The ring of Sir Francis Drake on a nylon cord around his neck? Check. His trademark Henley and khaki cargo pants (which I feel have gone widely unused in adventure/treasure films)? Check. The shoulder holster and pistol? Check. The real question will be whether or not Mark Wahlberg can pull off Victor “Sully“ Sullivan’s Tom Selleck-esque mustache…let’s just take a look…

(Mark Wahlberg being heavily judged by Sully for that ‘stache)

It may need a little work and a lot less Just For Men but I’m sure Wahlberg will rock the thing by the end of the film. The trailer gives me good vibrations (please don’t beat my ass Mr. Wahlberg) so without further ado, enjoy the first look at Uncharted, due to hit theaters February 18th, 2022.

A Look From Nowhere At Suicide Squad:Kill The Justice League

The world of pop culture is still feeling the after effects of the DC Fandome and our favorite villainous squad are jumping from the page to the screen to the next generation of video game consoles.

The Nowhere California team will be diving deep into the first images from “The Suicide Squad” movie, but we have to take a look at the next game from the creative minds behind the legendary Arkham City franchise, Rocksteady Studios.

The members of Task Force X have entered the battle damage city limits of Metropolis, they have one mission and one goal. The mission is to eliminate a target and their goal is to get time erased from their prison sentences, but there is one huge problem and that is the target. Harley Quinn (voiced by Tara Strong), Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, and King Shark (voiced by WWE superstar Samoa Joe) have to take down Superman. Will the goal outweigh the mission? Also, from the title of the game, we can only imagine that the team will have a lot more on their plates.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will not hit stores until 2022, but this first look has given the world something to be excited for and is given me a reason to possibly upgrade my current video game system.

A Red Dead Return

Rockstar Games has come out with guns a blazing’! This title is a personal one for me. My friends and other gamers had to endure me gushing over Red Dead Redemption and how it was the most amazing game I had ever played.  From the expansive, open world exploration and side jobs, to the characters that seemed to walk out of your console larger than life. As a kid who has grown up in the Mojave Desert, the rendering of sunrises of the land and the way monsoonal rains would sweep was breathtaking. I honestly sat on a ridge and watched the sunrise and I swear I could almost smell that familiar air. Rockstar Games has done it again and now we get a glimpse into the Red Dead world again. Leave it to Rockstar to have me wanting to skip this fall and just get to the next one so that I can travel back to the time of gunslingers and river boat gamblers. Rockstar has partnered with Sony to give players early content and, much like Skyrim, a release of the classic Red Dead on the Playstation Network. All of the footage shown is from actual in-game play on the Playstation 4 engine. I simply cannot wait.
