FINALLY A “No Way Home” Trailer..

(Joshua Gilmore-Staff Writer)

It has been said that you can’t go home again and for Peter Parker, the journey home has been rougher then the average person. In “Far From Home”, we left the web slinger watching his world and secret identity being exposed to the world. Now, two years and some corporate entities coming to terms, we have our first look at the next entry in the saga of everyone’s favorite neighborhood Spiderman.

The world has been patiently waiting for our first look at the post “Far From Home” world and it was worth the wait. We get a quick taste of how Peter’s life is upside down and what lengths he is willing to go to fix things, but the problem is the aftermath of this resolution and the effects he is not ready to put into action. In this confusion and deeper dive into the multiverse, we get a peek into the variant worlds of the web slinger and some ghost’s of franchises past are unleashed in this current Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This trailer is the tip of the titanic sized iceberg, we know the casting “rumors” and the road leading to this film’s release, so the “No Way Home” reveals should be unleashed faster and we will be ready.

A New King of Rock..

(Joshua Gilmore-Staff Writer)
Satu Runa is not a stranger to the land of Nowhere California. In our early life, we crossed paths in the convention world and learned about the project known as “Queen Gorya.” Now, after a few years and a creative evolution on both sides, Satu has returned to the world of Kickstarter with a different crown on top of her head.

As of this writing, Satu is crowd funding a one woman musical entitled “King Nigel’s Nervous Breakdown” This production was created and stars Satu as the title character who is a rising musician that has to come to terms with a trouble past and over come a nervous breakdown.

I could attempt to explain this project and production more, but I would recommend hearing it from the creator herself.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/satu/king-nigels-nervous-breakdown?ref=discovery&term=king%20nigel

This is a simple piece, because the information is above for you to consume. As I stated above, the Nowhere California team has been lucky enough to watch Satu escalate and develop her talents. The time we were able to watch “Queen Gorya” go from kickstarter to screen was a lesson of dedication and passion for the craft, from the looks of King Nigel it doesn’t look like anything has change and has only evolved.

There is only a few short days remaining for this project and I would recommend giving this project a shot, even if the goal is reached, continue to support until the time hits zero. Throughout our almost 10 year existence, Nowhere California has taken pride in spotlighting the world of independent creativity and this is a project that deserves to stand center stage.

Venom 2 trailer drops!

Talk about tongue tied…

Nicholas Dye (Staff Writer/Podcaster)

It’s finally here! The long awaited trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage has finally hit. I won’t over ramble so you can get to the sweet sweet symbiote action buuuut…there are three things I LOVED about this trailer. First, very little of Woody Harrelson’s Carnage (I hate over reveals!). Second, this is directed by Andy Serkis. If ANYONE knows how a movie with motion capture should flow it’s that guy!! Third, the line at the end of the trailer ONLY IN THEATERS. In our current world I think it’s a bold move and statement to make and I love it. Enough of my gas, check out the trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, in theaters ONLY on September 24, 2021

Nicholas Dye (Staff Writer/Podcaster)

About a half an hour ago, we got our first teaser trailer for the upcoming Marvel film, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) takes center stage and the Kung-Fu action is high. Although details are vague, we get a glimpse of Awkwafina as Katy and what appears to be the REAL Mandarin. Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings opens 9-3-2021 in theaters nationwide. Check out the trailer below.

Show Us Your Junk: The Return

(Joshua Gilmore-Staff Writer)

The cold months have finished and the hiatus is finally over, the time has returned for the guys from Nowhere to show off their junk. As I let that opener sink in, I will give you the traditional reminder of what this column is all about and avoid hate mail or unsolicited nudity.

Show Us Your Junk is the reoccurring article from Nowhere California that can be summed up as an ongoing pop culture show and tell. The team behind Nowhere are hardcore nerds and collectors, so they have some stories to share and they hope you will be ready to jump in the mix, but more on that later.

In this installment, I stick my toes into the world of unboxing and show off my latest delivery from Loved Again Media..

Loved Again Media is a movie addict’s dream and I’m not being paid to say that. This is a company to take a bigger look at and this will not be the last time you hear about this service on Nowhere California.

Spiderman 3 Gets A Name!

Don’t tell Tom, he will squeal.

Nicholas Dye (Staff Writer/Podcaster)

Courtesy of Disney and the MCU, we finally have our title for the upcoming Spiderman 3 starring Tom Holland, Jacob Batalon, and Zendaya. The quick video reveal pokes fun at Tom Holland’s notorious ability to spoil things and sees our aforementioned trio outside director Jon Watts’ office leaving in disappointment. The video closes on a close up of a dry erase board with several possible names and the final name, boldly displayed in the center. I would reveal the name but I ain’t no snitch like ol’ Tom Holland. Check out the video below.

AEW gives a BIG surprise

Nicholas Dye (Staff Writer/Podcaster)

This morning’s announcement was a BIG surprise to many pro wrestling fans. All Elite Wrestling has confirmed a multi-year deal with Paul Wight, better known to WWE fans as The Big Show. He will jump in as a wrestler first and foremost but will also join the commentary team for AEW Dark: Elevation (think NXT in AEW.) Elevation airs 7PM ET on AEW’s YouTube channel and will keep in continuity with their main shows unlike NXT in the WWE.

AEW has already signed legendary talents in Jon Moxley (Dean Ambrose) and the icon himself, Sting. With the addition of Wight, is this an indication that WWE talents are not happy? If so, it would appear that AEW, who has also aligned with TNA, is willing to snap them up and showcase their talents.

Mortal Kombat Trailer

It has begun!!!

Nicholas Dye (Staff Writer/Podcaster)

Holy shit it’s MORTAAAAL KOOOOOOMBAT!!! The first trailer for the long awaited relaunch of the wildly famous, gore filled video game based film has hit harder than Kano with an uppercut!! After FINISHING IT!! several times, I can confidently say it’s a FLAWLESS VICTORY!! Okay I’ll shut the fuck up with the cliches and just give you the official Warner Bros. synopsis and the trailer below. Mortal Kombat hits theaters and HBOMax on April 16th, 2021.

MMA fighter Cole Young (Lewis Tan), accustomed to taking a beating for money, is unaware of his heritage-or why Outworld’s Emperor Shang Tsung (Chin Han) has sent his best warrior, Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim), an otherworldly Cryomancer, to hunt Cole down. Fearing for his family’s safety, Cole goes in search of Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee) at the direction of Jax (Mehcad Brooks), a Special Forces Major who bears the same strange dragon marking Cole was born with. Soon, he finds himself at the temple of Lord Raiden (Tadanobu Asano), an Elder God and the protector of Earthrealm, who grants sanctuary to those who bear the mark. Here, Cole trains with experienced warriors Liu Kang (Ludi Lin), Kung Lao (Max Huang) and rogue mercenary Kano (Josh Lawson), as he prepares to stand with Earth’s greatest champions against the enemies of Outworld in a high stakes battle for the universe. But will Cole be pushed hard enough to unlock his arcana-the immense power from within his soul-in time to save not only his family but to stop Outworld once and for all?

Deadpool 3, swearing, and the MCU

So…naughty

Nicholas Dye/Staff Writer

A few hours ago, during an interview released by Collider, Marvel’s Kevin Feige confirmed that Deadpool 3 will be rated ‘R’ and will also launch the Merc with a Mouth into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script right now…It will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We’ve got a number of things we’ve already announced that we now have to make, but it’s exciting for it to have begun. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life.”

Fans can only speculate exactly how Deadpool will be introduced but knowing Reynolds’ dedication to this character and Feige helming it all, it will be nothing short of awesome and hilarious.
