A Look From Nowhere At A Prehistoric Slasher Film..

The Nowhere California team could tell you dozens of stories from our teenage lives, but that is for a different time and when the statute of limitations expires, so we are ready to let you in on the teenage exploits of Kansas Bowling.

At the age of 15, Kansas began to develop the story of “B.C. Butcher” with her friend Kenzie and, by the age of 17, Kansas directed the feature film adaptation of “B.C. Butcher.” The production for this movie quickly picked up steam and brought some cult icons in front of Kansas’ camera, such as Kadeem Hardison (A Different World) and Kato Kaelin (The O.J. Simpson Trail).

As the film wrapped and word of mouth began to grow, the creation of Kansas caught the legendary eye of Lloyd Kaufman and he picked up “B.C. Butcher” for distribution through the Troma Entertainment banner.

At the recent Los Angeles Day of the Dead Convention, that took place in April, the guys from Nowhere had the pleasure to talk with Kansas Bowling and her stepmother, Miranda Robin. The conversation delves into the production of the film and the journey through the world of independent filmmaking.

Nowhere California Dives Into Some Independent Ink..

This might sound like a broken record, but the team of Nowhere California loves the world of independent creativity. It’s a world that birthed Nowhere California and we love to shine a spotlight into the area of art.

It began with “Queen Gorya”, then we took a trip to hell with “Oh, Hell”, and the guys recently received an education with “Getting Schooled..” At the recent Los Angeles Days of the Dead convention, Nowhere California returned to the printed page and talked with the mind behind Wannabe Press, Russell Nohelty.

In this conversation, Russell opens up about what got him to start Wannabe Press and mission for the creative works that might get lost in the mainstream publication world.

One Bad Day. One Great Movie..Coming Soon.

One bad day. It just takes one bad day to turn the sanest mortal into the darkest of souls and just one bad day is the lynch pin behind one of most infamous DC graphic novels, “The Killing Joke”. This graphic novel is held in high regards in most comic book circles and will be making its animated film debut in a few short weeks.

“The Killing Joke” will be released digitally on July 23,2016 and Blu-Ray/Dvd on August 2. This film will break new ground for the popular DC animated movie series, as “The Killing Joke” will be rated R. That rating is a relief to many, as any lower rating would be a disservice to the legacy of this story.

As you can tell quickly from the trailer, the legacy of this story is well protect in many ways and two of those reasons come in the form of the voice talents. The men that are synonymous with this classic rivalry, Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill will headline this film.

A reminder, if you’re a fan of the original graphic novel or you’re a fan of the DC animated universe, this is an entry that should not be miss digitally on July 23 and on August 2 in the Blu-Ray/Dvd formats. Also, in the Blu-Ray/Dvd format, watch for a special deluxe edition and the limited edition Joker figure that will be included.

NOWHERE Invades The Hollywood Comedy Shorts Film Festival..

This past April and hot off the heels of the Days of the Dead convention, the guys from Nowhere were invited to cover their first film festival and the Nowhere California team charted new ground to cover the 1st Annual Hollywood Comedy Shorts Festival.

This event took place the 15th and 16th of April at the world famous TCL Chinese Theatre, gathering the world of short form comedy under one roof. During the opening night celebration, Nowhere California was represented on the red carpet and we took the opportunity to talk with a few of the festivals participants..

OH, HELL.. The Comikaze Coverage Continues..

Nowhere California’s coverage of the 2015 Stan Lee’s Comikaze Convention is almost over and it’s time to revisit a friend from our conventions past.

Back in 2013, the guys from Nowhere made their way to Long Beach to cover the 5th Annual Long Beach Comic and Horror Convention. At this event, the guys talked to a lot of talented people and decided to record several interviews with some individuals from the independent comic book world..

DEADPOOL: He Is The Superhero Movie That We Need And Want!

It has been a magical 12 days and as the yearly War on Christmas truce goes into effect, Deadpool has delivered a package that he want to show the world. Also, the Merc with the Mouth has a new trailer for the movie goers..

First, here is the clean “Green Band” trailer..

Now, it is time to take Deadpool’s advice and enjoy the majesty that is the “Red Band” trailer..

If that isn’t an uncanny and magnificent finale for the 12 days of Deadpool, then I don’t know what could be. This trailer shows the hardcore edge and spirit of the comics will not be lost in the translation to the big screen. This movie will be the swift kick to superhero genre’s balls and the aftermath will be felt for a long time.

I don’t know your plans for February 12, 2016, but my plans are set and I’ll be seeing this movie multiple times.

‘Twas the night before the trailer and all through the internet, not a creature was stirring but a Merc with a mouth. The time has finally arrived and we are at the eve of the new Deadpool trailer.

Today is the 11th day of the marvelous 12 days of Deadpool and our day started with a ghost of Deadpool past..

Wolverine, Deadpool’s fellow WEAPON X survivor, decided to commandeer the festivities and treat us to this special image. As everyone remembers, the last time we saw these two together was in the conclusion of the X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the Merc with the Mouth didn’t exactly have a mouth. It’s nice to see this twosome together under better terms.

Now for the main attraction of the 11th day of the 12 days of Deadpool and an appetizer for tomorrow’s new Deadpool trailer..

The excitement is reaching its peak, we received a new TV spot and some truth behind the Easter egg we discovered from Day 7 (Hopefully, this isn’t the last time we’ll see Wolverine), but the main event is only a few hours away.

Ignore your loved ones and stay locked in, as we will hit the final day of the 12 days of Deadpool. Christmas Day will bring onto the world a brand spanking new Deadpool trailer!!

DEADPOOL: Die Hard Is His Favorite, Feel Good Christmas Movie..

It’s the night before Trailer’s Eve and there is so much to discuss, from the 10th entry in the matronly 12 days of Deadpool to 2 new television spots and one spot featuring brand new footage from this soon to be classic movie.

As with the past 9 days, we begin with the newest entry of the 12 days of Deadpool and today’s installment is another Merc with the Mouth take on a holiday classic, the relaxing burning yule log.

In the most traditional hands, it’s as simple as an actual burning fire in a fireplace and in other hands, it’s a video loop from a discount DVD. This classic has seen many forms, but here is the Deadpool’s “Pool Log”..

Now, as you relax with you “Pool Log”, here is the newest television spot and you will quick see a few new moments from the movie…

This might have been a short clip, but you get a colossal amount. We get a glimpse at the story and what bring Wade Wilson to the superhero party.

The next clip is quick, but very important. This is a special spot for ESPN’s NBA coverage on Christmas Day, but we learn that we will be getting a special look at Deadpool. We can only imagine that this will be the debut of the new “clean” trailer. Also, Deadpool isn’t alone in this clip and we get a special visit from Weasel.

There you have it, this was a very busy 10th day for this Deadpool event. We are in the final 2 days and tomorrow will bring the surprises of “Trailer Eve”. Since “Trailer Eve” is all we know, watch out and be ready for anything!
