Deadpool-2-Teaser-Trailer-2-First-Footage

(Nicholas Dye/Staff Writer)

With the holidays fast approaching, the recent release of Thor: Ragnarok, the upcoming release of Justice League and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Deadpool arrived and gave us a release…straight into our pants! Everyone’s favorite Merc’ With A Mouth dropped a teaser trailer a-la-Bob Ross to remind us that none of that other shit matters because Deadpool is coming…to theaters…not…oh never mind.

Twentieth Century Fox posted their official synopsis for the highly anticipated sequel and they describe Deadpool 2 as this:

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

No seriously…that IS the official synopsis on Deadpool 2’s IMDB page…

We know this much from the trailer…Deadpool is back, he has a sexy slow motion run through the rain, Negasonic Teenage…Whatever The Fuck The Rest Of Her Name Is is back and still giving the bird, Dopinder doesn’t swallow, Chunk from The Goonies is pulling a Drew Barrymore in Firestarter, some irresponsible prick has given a blind woman a gun, Deadpool does a spot on Jesus impression and rises from the grave, and at very end, Michael Jackson has a new shiny glove…or maybe I need to adjust my Cable. Well, I’m gonna go do some blow, you scroll down to watch the trailer and take the “Don’t Nut in Your Pants Challenge.”

Dalton is listed as Security in the credits…these guys are killing me.

Venom Starts Production

(Nicholas Dye/Staff Writer)

I promised the Nowhere guys I would set aside my obsession with Tom Hardy and report this objectively so…here we go. On The 23rd, the official Twitter account for the upcoming Venom stand-alone film tweeted out this picture with the vague statement: “Day 1”

Venom-Production-Start-Tom-Hardy-Set-Photo

Now, I’m no detective but I think this means that the Venom movie with TOM HARDY IS FINALLY UNDERWAY!!!!! Breathe man…okay…so when I had asked my circle of comic and movie nerds; “Who would you cast as Venom in a new movie?” the general consensus was Tom Hardy. I can’t think of a more imposing figure to take the role of Eddie Brock aka Venom.

For those of you not in the know…Venom is actually a symbiotic organism that was discovered by Spider-Man while away fighting the Secret Wars. It bonded with him and gave him a badass new black costume that could become plain clothes by changing colors. After realizing that the symbiote was kinda violent and homicidal, Spidey casts it aside. This is all after he outs a fellow journalist, Eddie Brock, as a fraud and ruins him professionally. The symbiote “finds” Eddie and they formed a union more dangerous than Kim and Kanye! Venom was born and he became the single greatest threat to the web-head because he has crazy super strength, can spin webs, can “stealth” himself invisible, has a huge protruding jaw that he plans to use to eat Spider-Man’s brains, and the worst part, doesn’t trigger Spidey’s spider-sense!! This and he looks scary and badass. Perfect for Hardy!! Can I get an AMEN!!?

So I guess I’m pretty excited to see the most underrated, legit badass (he chased AND CAUGHT a scooter-riding purse snatcher on foot!) action star on the planet take on one of my favorite Marvel villains/anti-heroes ever written! I mean…if this is the potential…I must quote the legendary Kevin Smith in saying; “Take ALL my fucking money now!!”

What’s hot on Cable? A teddy…

(Nicholas Dye/Staff Writer)

Much like the hype for Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds is at it again for Deadpool 2. On the heels of our first look at Zazie Beetz as the infamous Domino, Mr. Reynolds dropped this gem on us early this morning via Twitter.

Screen Shot 2017-08-07 at 10.39.36 AM

Immediately on the heels of that Tweet, we got a full body shot of Josh Brolin as Nathan Summers and it did not disappoint. I’m not sure here, but I believe the teddy bear ties the whole ensemble together nicely. You be the judge:

Cable is gen-u-wine mutant badass and I believe that Mr. Brolin has captured said badassery nicely. The only thing left for us to find out is how many bad jokes the “Merc with a Mouth” will get out before Cable blows a hole in him. At any rate, Deadpool 2 is sizing up to be the hottest movie ticket of 2018 and as the news and pics drop we will bring them to you. Okay, just for shits and giggles, here they are side by side. Ladies and gentlemen…Domino and Cable.Screen Shot 2017-08-07 at 11.07.48 AM

A New Trailer For MARVEL’s Web Slinger..

spiderman_logo

(Joshua Gilmore-Staff Writer)

This week brought us the newest trailer for the upcoming DC “Justice League” movie and MARVEL couldn’t let their sleeping dogs or web slingers lie, because we have been treated to another taste of “Spiderman:Homecoming” in the form of a new action packed trailer.

This is the second trailer for this new era of Spiderman and the anticipation continues to rise. The first trailer gave us the John Hughes meets comic books world of Peter Parker and this new preview wipes away the angst to give us more of an adult threat with The Vulture, played with brilliant menace by Michael Keaton. Also, we received a clearer look at the possible mentor relationship between Parker and Tony Stark. It would be too easy to label it a father and son relationship, but we all know the downsides of heroes and their parental issues.

“Spiderman:Homecoming” is a movie this character has deserved for a long time and MARVEL is treating it with the respect other studios seem to have struggled to accomplish. This is a great year to be a movie fan and it’s great to see this web slinger finally come home.

“Spiderman:Homecoming” will swing into theater July 7th

Spider-Man Avenged: Homecoming Trailer Released

The silver screen translations of Spider-Man have been many and the reactions have been a mixed bag since the first incarnation hit the screen. The ups and downs have been many, with the downs hitting the basement hard. Now, Spider-Man is back with MARVEL and it is time for a proper homecoming.

You just watched the North American and International trailer for “Spider-Man:Homecoming” In those short moments, as with Spidey’s appearance in “Captain America: CIVIL WAR”, you care about this character more then you could ever in the Sam Raimi trilogy.

It’s quick to notice that the iconic web slinger is in the proper hands of the house that truly built his legacy and he is back in the universe that he belongs in. The casting of Peter was done with perfect precision, Tom Holland plays Peter with the heart of a kid that could overcome this insane situation and you would actually believe that he is a high schooler.

The entire cast looks like they are ready to give this iconic web slinger his proper moment in the spotlight and Michael Keaton stepping into the evil wings of The Vulture is going to add another stellar moment to Keaton’s career.

There is so much more that can be said about this trailer and we’ll have all of that coming in the upcoming episodes of our podcast. “Spider-Man:Homecoming” looks to be a moment of truth in labeling and it’s great to say that Spidey is truly home.

Independence Day Weekend 2017 will bring more then fireworks to the sky. Look for Spider-Man to hit theaters July 7,2017.

I Am GROOT! (Translation: NEW GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL.2 TRAILER!)

gotg_vol_2_updated_logo-750x380

(Joshua Gilmore- Staff Writer)

The world has been waiting for more of the Guardians, in October we were delivered a teaser shot of MARVEL’s space warriors and we wanted a longer drink. Today, the team from “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.2” helped relieve any lingering Thanksgiving hangovers and gave the masses a larger dose of Groot.

I think I could stay away from the death button, but I could not avoid the reply button on this trailer. MARVEL seems to have a knack to build a smaller franchise into a monstrous movie event, can you think of your love for Iron Man before the first movie? Anyways, the MARVEL machine has made the right moves when it comes to the guardians’ world and this next volume has the makings to become another box office force to be reckoned with.

In case you need the reminder, Vol.2 of the Guardians is unleashed in theaters May 5,2017!

Tim Miller Departs From DEADPOOL 2..

deadpool-movie-review-image-5-768x384

(Joshua Gilmore-Staff Writer)

As in most Hollywood successes, a speed bump is bound to creep up and everyone’s favorite merc with the mouth has ran head first into a hard bump. Tim Miller, the director of the original blockbuster DEADPOOL, has left the production of DEADPOOL 2 over creative differences.

After the news broke, the rumors started to flood the internet and the truth could be stranger than fiction, but a rift between Miller and Ryan Reynolds seems to lead the charge. The studio has been quick to keep the news in a positive light, as they have already announced their next project with Miller. Fox has released information that Miller will begin work on the adaptation of Daniel Suarez’s science fiction novel, Influx.

In Hollywood creative differences happen as often as rehab stints, but they can hopefully end the same way. I am a massive fan of DEADPOOL and the extended world the movie unleashed, so any static could bring upon something amazing and very little property damage.

Now, due to this issue, the release date for DEADPOOL 2 is up in the air.

Marvel is going to get Strange

(Nicholas Dye/Staff Writer)

Entertainment Weekly gives us our first look at Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Stephen Strange and he looks…wait for it…magical!! Cumberbatch is the newest face to join the Marvel family but is no STRANGEr (Okay I’ll stop!) to the big screen. Gaining huge fame overseas as the infallible Sherlock Holmes on BBC’s “Sherlock”, Cumberbatch gained popularity as Kahn in 2013’s “Star Trek: Into Darkness”. With razor sharp diction and a superbly confident demeanor, Cumberbatch was an easy choice to become the “Sorcerer Supereme.” Benedict Cumberbatch will be joined by Rachel McAdams (Sherlock Holmes), Tilda Swinton (Constantine) as The Ancient One and Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Year a Slave) as Baron Mordo. You can catch Doctor Strange in theaters November 4, 2016 or you can pick up the upcoming copy of Entertainment Weekly for a more detailed read.
