The Force Is Strong In The Last Jedi Trailer..

 This week has brought great excitement to the force and the epicenter has been the 2017 Star Wars Celebration, located this year in Orlando. During this event, there has been panels and other happenings, but the moment the universe has been waiting for has happened and we have our first look at “The Last Jedi”

There you have the first trailer for Episode VIII and Christmas can’t get here soon enough. In this two minute clip, the viewers can quickly tell that we are not got to get any type of flash forward and we are witness to the beginning of Rey’s training. It is a given that it is Jedi training, but where will we see the reality of this episode’s title come into play. The rumors are out there and I can dive deep into them, but that type of discussion will be saved for the podcast (You can find the Nowhere California Podcast on your favorite podcast search engines) or on the comment section of this site. The reality and identity of the LAST Jedi will come into view in December, but that is just a microcosm of this trailer.

 The trailer, as a whole, can be dissected and screams for repeat viewing, so the viewer can hope to catch the slightest hint towards the plot of this film. You can look at the vast landscapes and wonder if you are looking at a rock pile or a surprise character. You can listen to every wave of audio and pin point the source of the whispers. It is a tough mission, but it is a mission the internet is more than happy to accept.

 As the current slate of movie releases have shown, it is an awesome time to be a movie fan and the trailers we have received continue to show that fact to be true. Also, DC and MARVEL can have their dick measuring contests when they release trailers, but the current series of Star Wars has shown their still a force to be reckoned with in the box office. December can’t get here quick enough.

The Time Is Now: A Look At 2 KICKSTARTER Projects..

It has never been a secret with Nowhere California that we have made it a point to shine our spotlight on the world of independent creativity. The projects can come from any form of media, if it will spark our interest, we will do everything possible to spread the word.

At the 2017 WonderCon, we crossed paths with two projects that are currently attempting to gain funds through Kickstarter and these campaigns are in their final days. We want to give you the vital information to these projects and, if you see fit, we hope that you will take the time out to support these creative talents.

The first project comes from the mind of Jemma Young and the goal of this project is to release the first printed collection of “Children of Eldair”. “Children of Eldair” is the comic book that Jemma created and current can be seen online at www.eldair.com

This comic follows Embera and Koe, as they try to piece together Embera’s mysterious past and Koe takes a journey through multiple worlds. This description might be basic, but the reality of the work is amazing.

The next project is from a past visitor to Nowhere California and the man behind Wannabe Press, Russell Nohelty. Russell is in the final days of this successful project, but there is still time to have your name attached to something special.

This project is for “Monsters and Other Scary Shit: A Monster Anthology”. This is a collection of monster themed entries and these entries are fueled by a group of creators that are ready to unleash something special.

Update From The Battlefront Of MAN vs. ROCK..

 There is a conflict that the fake news networks are too afraid to report on and this battle is something that blurs any political lines. This fight is as old as time and it is the war of MAN vs. ROCK, where some fear to tread two men continue to spread the word and Nowhere California was lucky enough to talk with these men for a second time.

 At the 2017 Long Beach Comic Expo, the Nowhere California Hack Pack crossed paths with Kevin Bieber and Victor De Troy to discuss the world of MAN vs. Rock, since their last meeting. The conversation runs the range of topics from their new monthly column to MAN vs. ROCK hitting the shelves of your favorite comic book store and anything else that might escape the minds of everyone involved in this interview.

Forget about Batman versus Superman and Captain America versus Iron Man doesn’t hold a candle to a battle that has been fought for centuries. The war of the ages have been fought between the worlds of man versus the brutal beasts we know as ROCKS! During the 2016 Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Convention, the guys from Nowhere had the pleasure to talk with the men behind the insanity known as MAN Vs. ROCK.

Kevin Bieber and Victor De Troy are the creator of this comic book madness, the world of MAN Vs. ROCK is something that has to be seen to be believed and the same can be said about talking to these two men. The Nowhere California team didn’t have a video camera ready, but the audio will allow you to take fun journey.

Two Paths Cross At Last..

This installment of Nowhere California’s coverage of the 2016 Stan Lee Los Angeles Comic Convention has a short back story and that will lead us into the conversation with the multi-talented, Joe Ochman.

In the early days of Nowhere, the team would never have imagined that we would conduct interviews with people from the entertainment world and gain actual connections with this talented world, but that changed with the chance meeting with Satu and Steve J. Palmer from “Queen Gorya”. After that meeting, Steve J. Palmer started to line up interviews for the guys from Nowhere and one of those interviews was going to be with Joe Ochman.

Ochman is a multi-talented performer that has delved into many aspects of the entertainment world, he has taken his talented from the stage to the screen and behind the scenes. The chance to talk with Joe was an opportunity that the Nowhere California team couldn’t wait to talk with him, but a few speed bumps appeared in the way (so goes the life of the independent podcaster) It took a little time, but good things come to those who wait and we jumped to the chance to talk with Joe at the 2016 Stan Lee Comic Con.

How Taz Spent His Halloween Vacation..

During Nowhere California’s coverage of the 2016 Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Convention, the guys from Nowhere crossed paths with a friend of con’s past and caught up with Taz.

The last time the team had crossed paths with Taz was at the 2014 Days of the Dead Convention, during the conventions Saturday morning cartoon screening and a friendship was formed through a alcohol charged commentary.

Since that chance meeting, we have been looking for a chance to cross paths with Taz and that opportunity came at this year’s Los Angeles Comic Con. There wasn’t a cartoon screening to riff our way through, but Taz and I had a great conversation about his return to the states. The Science Guy is back and he is ready to save the world in a brand new Netflix series. Educational television legend, Bill Nye and Netflix are developing a new series that will launch in the spring of 2017.
“Bill Nye Saves The World” will focus directly on the world of science and how it’s linked to the everyday world, from politics to pop culture and every aspect in between will be covered.

The trailer reveals that Nye will not stand alone in his mission. The Science Guy has assembled a crack team of correspondences to travel the world and report on the ever changing world around us. “Bill Nye Saves The World” will begin their mission in the Spring of 2017 and I hope the world is ready.

The guys here at Nowhere California have launched a new campaign that, at the very least, will get us some awesome shirts made, and at best, we might just earn some money that we can put towards our convention expenses and equipment costs.
