NowhereCalifornia.com Reaches Its First Year..

It started one year ago today, this site was launched and took the concept of Nowhere California to a whole new level.

Nowhere California started in 2011 and it was just another conversation between two friends, but these conversation started taking place in front of a microphone and unleashed on the internet. It was as simple as that, but as Nowhere California evolved, the team grew and new accomplishments were reach.

The episodes started to grow and the team ventured out of the Nowhere city limits, as they dove into the world of conventions and conducting interviews. It was with each accomplishment, the Nowhere California family stuck to their ideals of what they wanted to produce and not to become just another podcast.

It was that mindset that grew into this website and, as we mark our first year on the net, we want to simply say THANK YOU.

One bad day. It just takes one bad day to turn the sanest mortal into the darkest of souls and just one bad day is the lynch pin behind one of most infamous DC graphic novels, “The Killing Joke”. This graphic novel is held in high regards in most comic book circles and will be making its animated film debut in a few short weeks.

“The Killing Joke” will be released digitally on July 23,2016 and Blu-Ray/Dvd on August 2. This film will break new ground for the popular DC animated movie series, as “The Killing Joke” will be rated R. That rating is a relief to many, as any lower rating would be a disservice to the legacy of this story.

As you can tell quickly from the trailer, the legacy of this story is well protect in many ways and two of those reasons come in the form of the voice talents. The men that are synonymous with this classic rivalry, Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill will headline this film.

A reminder, if you’re a fan of the original graphic novel or you’re a fan of the DC animated universe, this is an entry that should not be miss digitally on July 23 and on August 2 in the Blu-Ray/Dvd formats. Also, in the Blu-Ray/Dvd format, watch for a special deluxe edition and the limited edition Joker figure that will be included.

In this second to last installment of our 2016 Long Beach Comic Expo coverage, the guys from Nowhere talk with Dan Mendoza. Mendoza is the creative mind behind the comic “Zombie Tramp”

Gotham Has A New Commissioner..

J.K. Simmons has hung up his Daily Bugle Press Credentials and picked up the Commissioner’s badge of the Gotham Police Department, as Simmons has signed on to play Commissioner Gorden in the upcoming Justice League films.

As we are a few weeks away from the “Dawn Of Justice”, there is little to no chance of seeing Simmons step into commissioner’s office and Simmons will probably sit out the battle of the world’s finest. This down time will be short lived, as part 1 of the Justice League films will begin production next month and will hit theaters Nov.17,2017.

Now, that we know Simmons’ position in the “Justice League” world, where does this leave Simmons and Gorden in the growing DC universe? Will we see Simmons in the upcoming solo Affleck/Batman movies?

The CW Network aired the DC “Dawn Of The Justice League” special tonight and gave the world a look at their upcoming project, one of these projects is a gathering of villains for the good of humanity and that gives us our 2nd trailer for the upcoming “Suicide Squad”

The villains might not inherit the earth, but they sure as hell could inherit the box office. This trailer catches you from the start with the classic melodies of Queen, then blasts you into the chaos and beautiful insanity of this film. Suicide Squad comes of Aug. 5,2016 and will put other comic book movies on notice.

Hamill To Laugh Again?

The clown prince of crime has found his voice and it is a familiar voice. As reported by collider.com, Mark Hamill will be stepping behind the microphone once again and provide the voice of The Joker in the upcoming DC animated adaptation for “The Killing Joke”

Alan Moore and Brian Bolland released “The Killing Joke” graphic novel in 1988 and this creation quickly became a highly revered publication. At this year’s San Diego Comic Con, Warner Brother’s announced that this beloved book will be the next release in the highly popular DC animated movie collection.

As the excitement grew and one question needed to be answered, who would voice DC favorite sociopath? A source to collider.com revealed that Hamill has already recorded the dialogue for the upcoming movie.
